The Serbian duo of Marko Djokovic and Darko Madjarovski suprised top seeds Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic at the Serbian Open, defeating them 7-6(2), 2-6, 10-6 to reach the quarter-finals.

18 year-old Djokovic, younger brother of World No.3 Novak Djokovic earned his first match win on the ATP World Tour in front of his home crowd. He had previously teamed up with his brother Novak to two first-round losses on the doubles circuit. Madjarovski, 25, was making his ATP World Tour debut.

Nestor and Zimonjic had won 12 straight matches during this year’s clay court season at Monte Carlo. They followed up their convincing performance with wins in Barcelona and Rome. The Canadian-Serbian team, both residing in Belgrade, finished the year as the No.1 doubles team after winning the Tennis Masters Cup title in Shanghai.
