Top Russian Nikolay Davydenko continued his run at the Estoril Open, recording his 10th victory of 2009 with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Mardy Fish in 85 minutes.

The World No.11 who missed the first two months due to a left heel injury, withstood five aces from his opponent and four of five break points. The 27 year-old converted four of six break points in the pair’s third clash.

The 27 year-old Fish, who won his third ATP World Tour title in Delray Beach, drops to 15-10 for the season.

Davydenko next encounters James Blake, who he has never beaten in six previous attempts. Fourth-seed Blake required just 48 minutes to dispose of Frenchman Florent Serra 6-4, 6-1. Blake has won his last six meetings with Davydenko as he will attempt to reach his 23rd ATP World Tour final.
