Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki gave Serbia their first ARAG ATP World Team Championship title by winning both their singles encounters in straight sets. Serbia won the tie 2-1.
Tipsarevic gave Serbia an unassailable 2-0 lead as he handed Philipp Kohlschreiber his first loss of the tournament by beating the German 6-2, 6-4. Earlier, Troicki beat Rainer Schuettler 6-4, 7-6(5) to give Serbia the early advantage.
Serbia, playing in the inaugural tournament for the first time, won in the blue group with a 3-0 record which included victories over Argentina, Russia and Italy.
