Unknown teenager Alexandra Dulgheru pulled off a shocker to beat Ukrainian Alona Bondarenko in the final of the Warsaw Open.
The Romanian qualifier, ranked 201 in the world, won 7-6(3), 3-6, 6-0 in under three hours to finish off a fairytale week.
World No.39 Bondarenko, led 4-0 in the second set when the match had to be stopped due to the rain, and the brief interruption hindered her game.
She went on to claim the set, but was 2-0 down in the decider before rain interrupted play again.
When they returned 10 minutes later, the Romanian reeled off four straight game to claim the title.
