No.29 seed Philipp Kohlschreiber posted his biggest win of his career as he beat World No.4 Novak Djokovic 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to reach the fourth round of Roland Garros.
The 25 year-old German, converted five of 10 break points and was only broken twice in the 2 hour and 21 minute match.
Djokovic jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the first set, before his opponent snatched the next five games to win the first set. In the second set Kohlschreiber broke twice for a 4-1 lead but was broken in the eight game after holding three set points. He then served it out at 5-4. In the third set, a lone break came in the ninth game as Kohlschreiber hit a glorious backhand down the line. The German then served it out, finishing it off with another backhand winner.
Kohlschreiber will next meet No.16 Tommy Robredo, who came back from a one set deficit to beat Argentine Maximo Gonzalez 4-6, 7-5, 6-1, 6-0.
