Svetlana Kuznetsova has set up an all-Russian French Open final with Dinara Safina by beating Samantha Stosur in three sets.
The seventh seed, reached her second French Open final thanks to a 6-4, 6-7(5), 6-3 victory over the 30th seed.
Top seed Dinara Safina awaits in the final after she beat 20th seed Dominika Cibulkova 6-3 6-3 in the first semi-final.
The 23 year-old Kuznetsova broke three times to clinch the first set and looked comfortable in the second when she led 4-2.
Stosur, a doubles specialist, was bidding to become the first Australian woman to reach the French Open final since Wendy Turnbull in 1979.
She broke back in the eighth game and then was forced to recover form 5-2 down in the tie-breaker to reel off five straight points, leveling the match at one set apiece.
In the decider, the Russian came storming back and needed only one break in the sixth game which proved the downturn for Stosur as Kuznetsova stormed to the finish line.
