World No.2 Roger Federer continued his quest for a sixth Wimbledon title with a service masterclass to beat Spain’s Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-2, 6-2, 6-4 in 89 minutes.

Federer, who rarely broke a sweat, won 45 of 48 points on his first serve, with 11 aces and 27 winners.

It was a relentless performance and full of confidence considering that he didn’t play his traditional warm up tournament in Halle, Germany.

In the third round, Federer will play No.27 seed Philipp Kohlschreiber who was victorious over Czech Ivo Minar with a 6-4, 3-6, 4-6, 6-2, 8-6 win..
