Australian Samantha Stosur produced a magnificent comeback to secure a a spot in the third round of Wimbledon.
The No.18 seed came back from a one set deficit to defeat Germany’s Tatjana Malek 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4, after trailing 1-4 in the third set to reach the final 32 of the tournament.
Stosur started poorly agaisnt Malek, who beat Stosur’s compatriot Jelena Dokic in the first round, before powering back to win the last five games and secure the match.
The Gold coast native will now play Serbian Ana Ivanovic who defeated Italian Sara Errani 7-5, 6-1.
