Former World No.1 Carlos Moya will hold a press conference in Madrid on Wednesday, where he is expected to announce his departure from tennis. The Spaniard, who recently became a father three months ago, last played a professional match in Madrid this year before going on an injury hiatus.
The 1998 French Open champion played some of his best tennis late in his career, most notably in 2007, when he reached the quarter-finals at the French and US Open and maintained the trend of winning at least one ATP World Tour title for the eighth straight year. Moya won 20 ATP World Tour titles in his career and accumulated over 13 million dollars in prize money.
