A recurring conversation topic that has developed over the past few months is the number of Grand Slam victories Roger Federer has left in him. With Novak Djokovic playing the tennis of his life and Nadal performing well consistently, it seems a lot more difficult for the Swiss to make a deep run in a Grand Slam this time onward.
However, it should be noted that the former World No.1 has not lost before the quarter-finals in a Grand Slam since the 2004 French Open, a remarkable achievement considering that he is approaching his 30s. As long as the 29 year-old doesn’t run into talented players like Del Potro and Raonic in the early rounds, there is a sufficient chance that the maestro could rack up at least two more Slams before he decides to call time.
