2011 has undoubtedly been Novak Djokovic‘s year. The Serb racked up a total of 10 titles, which include three Grand Slams and five ATP Masters 1000 titles.
From the 2010 ATP World Tour Finals to the 2011 French Open, Djokovic had a 43 match winning streak, which was ended by Federer. To the astonishment of many fans, the 24 year-old has also beaten Rafael Nadal in all their meetings this year (6 in total).
It is unlikely that the World No.1 will be able to replicate this form in 2012, having shown signs of wear and tear after his US Open victory. The Monte Carlo native has lost four times in his last 10 matches.
2012 should be an interesting year since fans will be keen to see whether Djokovic has Federeresque traits by playing at a level above his opponents for a sustained period.
