Should Asia have a Grand Slam?

This year, we have seen male and female tennis players from Asia excel in both singles and doubles. Of particular note, Li Na reaching the Australian Open final and triumphing in Paris. Unsurprisingly, this has stirred up talk of whether there should be a Grand Slam in Asia.

At present, it would be hard to imagine that the tennis calendar could fit in a fifth Slam especially in light of the players wanting a longer off season. However, in the not too distant future I believe it should be considered once a sufficient number of players from countries like China and India have established themselves in ATP/WTA rankings and are competing at the top level consistently.
