Lleyton Hewitt and David Nalbandian are arguably two of the greatest competitors on the tennis court. They have been fierce rivals since the 2005 Australian Open when they bumped shoulders during a changeover.
Funnily enough, the Australian and the Argentine share a lot of things in common. They are not only on their last legs but they share the same sponsors (Yonex) and suffer the same injuries (hip). Tennis fans shouldn’t expect much from the two players next year as Hewitt is ranked 188 and Nalbandian is ranked 64, leaving them prone to higher ranked players in the early rounds.
In saying that, I hope that they are both able to find their best form as they reach the final stages of their illustrious career. Hewitt and Nalbandian are too talented to be sent off without putting in a fight.
To all my readers, have a safe Christmas and a Happy New Year. 🙂
