Due to a hip injury, Kim Clijsters has announced she will not be contesting Roland Garros. The 28 year-old, who is retiring at the end of the year, will instead focus on the grass-court season.
The former World No.1 has undoubtedly had a stellar career, racking up four Grand Slam titles, three of which have come since her return and earning nearly $25 million dollars in prize money. The Belgian will be keen to end her time as a professional tennis player by capturing Wimbledon and the Olympics, two events she has yet to win.
